I often try to have multiple meaning in my logomarks. I like to have the person viewing it to see something new the longer they look at it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it is not appropriate for the mark.
The ClockWork logo is one where I wanted to get across multiple meanings. The event helps nonprofit companies by providing creative services they might not have the funds for. The event is also a 24 hour celebration of how design can have a positive influence on the world.
